Lil Wayne’s Phone Call From Rikers…
Lil Wayne calls in to Funkmaster Flex show (NYC) and talked about his time @ Rikers (which his expected release is November)…and when asked what he listens to while locked up, he stated he doesn’t listen to anyone else’s music but his own, never has, and all he listens to is sports and his thoughts.
He also is very appreciative and more than amazed by all the support and love he receives from his fans, and never knew how much he meant to his fans until now, and says it’s breathtaking. He does try and read all his mail/letters that he receives..

Well if you didn’t hear, the media was all a Buzz, based on an alleged interview US Magazine said they had with 
Wayne’s ex Toya, and were reporting about Wayne’s new job in prison..

How is Lil Wayne keeping busy behind bars?
“Wayne has a job — they got him on suicide watch for other prisoners,” his ex, BET reality star Antonia “Toya” Johnson, told Us’ Ian Drew (read his blog!) during an office visit Tuesday. “He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don’t kill themselves. He likes the job even though they don’t pay him much.”
Among the general population of inmates at New York’s Rikers Island, the rapper (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) — who is serving a yearlong jail sentence for gun possession — “is doing OK,” added Johnson, who has a 11-year-old daughter with Wayne. “He is getting along with everybody.”
Luckily, she told Us, “He didn’t have to cut his long hair!”

Well, it finally happened: Lil Wayne starts his jail sentence of 1 year today, but with good behavior, can possibly be released in 8 months… He will serve @ Rikers Island in Queens, NY…but due to his extreme popularity(as shown when he turned himself in, see the video below, which shows all the madness), he will not be amongst the general population & will be in protective custody during his time…
