Moet Rose Lounge sponsors and Neyo hosts, his “Champagne Life Tour” stop in Atlanta, this past Wednesday night, to celebrate the launch of his upcoming release Libra Scale on October 19th. You know The Buzz In The City was in the house for the exclusive Atlanta “TAKERS” PREMIERE this past Wednesday night @ Atlantic Station Regal Theaters. The red carpet was hot as hell and crowded, but it was all worth it to see T.I., FIIIINNNNEEEEEEEE ASS MICHAEL EALY, Paul Walker [such a cutie with his blue eyes], Will Packer, and a host of celebs who came out to show support. There was an excitement and huge anticipation for this film by everyone there, and we were among the few select media who got the chance to actually sit for the screening, and all I gotta say is WOW!!! TAKERS was the bomb.com, and is worth your money to go support a great cast, and a great film. Shoutout to Chris Brown for doing the damn thang on his stunts, and Will Packer for giving us a great combination, the best looking cast and action packed excitement. Tip, we salute you and the Grand Hustle fam on putting on your producer hat for such a great project. JOB WELL DONE!!
GO SUPPORT AND MAKE IT #1 @ THE BOX OFFICE!!!

SIDEBAR| I had the pleasure of sitting next to some of Tip’s family members in the theater,which included his grandfather, who was too proud of his grandson, talking at the screen “That’s my baby boy”. Tip’s fam was so proud!!

We were invited to the exclusive red carpet screening of the “The Confidant” this past Saturday night-which was written and directed by the award-winning Alton Glass, and stars Boris Kodjoe (Surrogates, Resident Evil: Afterlife), David Banner (Black Snake Moan, This Christmas), Bai Ling (Star Wars, Anna and the King), Richard Roundtree (Shaft, Se7en) and Billy Zane (Titanic).
“The Confidant” is produced by Kenya Moore (Deliver Us From Eva, Waiting to Exhale, former Miss USA), who also stars in the film.

Buzz On Set| Lyfe Jennings “STATISTICS”
I got the chance to catch up with Lyfe on his video shoot this past Tuesday, for “Statistics”, to talk about his 4th and FINAL album, “I Still Believe”, coming out July 27, on his label Jesus Swings/Asylum/Warner Bros., and why he’s halting his music career to concentrate on being a dad. I also got a sneak peek @ his newest protege, his male R&B group West Ave.
Lyfe is definitely a hands on dad, as he chilled with his little girl Leah in between sets, he also made sure to let us know his song is for all of us ladies, and the brothers need to stop trippin off him giving up the real. Wait, there’s more…

Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC, introduced her new VH1 reality show, “What Chilli Wants” to family, friends, media and special invited guests, on Wednesday April 7 @ Straits Restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. Hotlanta Buzz was there to get a sneak peek preview of the actual footage, which premieres for all to see on VH1 this Sunday, April 11 @10:30pm.
Now of course a major part of the show is Chilli’s quest for her perfect man, so she seeks love and matchmaking assistance from Tionna Tee Smalls, Brooklyn native and author of Girl, Get Your Mind Right! …The title says it all, because that’s exactly what happens—Tionna helps Chilli to get her mind in place, as she focuses on finding a man that could possibly be right for her. And Chilli and that list, is the biggest challenge of them all.
Aside from the perfect guy, what’s most important to Chilli, is to be a positive inspiration to women and show them that there are still good men out there, and there’s nothing wrong with taking your time and choosing wisely in finding the right fit for you, and definitely DO NOT SETTLE!! I had the opportunity to kick it with Tiny @ her new nail bar in ATL, and we chatted about the new season of “Tiny & Toya”, which premieres April 13 on BET. We also talked about the love of her life T.I., their always talked about upcoming wedding, and the negative comments all over the blogs….

Last night, Hotlanta Buzz was amongst the invited guests at the Private Atlanta Screening of Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? @ Regal Theaters in Atlantic Station. Other invited guests and media included, V103′s own Wanda Smith (pictured with husband), Lifestyle Specialist Kenny Burns, Actor Alfonzo Ribeiro (Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air), Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Lisa Wu Hartwell and Kandi Burruss, co-star in the film Michael Jai White, actor Robert Ri’chard (One on One & Meet The Browns), actress Terri Vaughn (pictured with husband, NFL Player, Karon Riley), who have both had the opportunity to work with Tyler Perry as cast members of his hit TBS show, “Meet the Browns,” young actors Nia Iman and Tyson Gilmore (they play Tyler Perry’s kids in the film) and Yung Joc was spotted as well. Hotlanta Buzz was on hand to see the live taping of the My Black is Beautiful Live event and television show, which returns for a second season of more inspiration and dialogue on black beauty. Hosted by Tasha Smith and BET’s on-air personality Alesha Renee, the season two taping of “My Black is Beautiful LIVE” will spotlight Bravo’s “Housewives of Atlanta” star and owner of TAGS boutique clothing store… Kandi Burruss, as well as local entrepreneurs, notable celebrities and beauty experts, as they candidly discuss the portrayal of African American women in the media and popular culture.
Season two of “My Black is Beautiful LIVE” TV show is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
