OK… so I’m supposed to believe that the network TLC received a whole bunch of offers for new reality shows, especially ones that feature black families, and this is the best one they chose to debut?? THE KLUMPS?? Uhmmmmmmmm ok..
TLC has announced One Big Happy Family, a new reality series that will follow a morbidly obese family as they deal with everyday obstacles in their lives, which premiered Tuesday, December 29 at 9PM ET/PT. Each half-hour One Big Happy Family episode will follow the Cole family, which resides in Charlotte, NC and weighs a collective 1,400 pounds between the four of them.
Norris, the 41-year-old father who weighs 340 lbs., is a stay-at-home dad while his wife Tameka, a 36-year-old who weighs 380 lbs., is responsible for financially supporting the family while also serving as the disciplinarian for their two children — 16-year-old Amber, who weighs 348 lbs., and her 14-year-old brother Shayne, who weighs 308 lbs..
The show will also document the Coles in their everyday life, One Big Happy Family will also follow the family’s attempt to lose weight without the help of a trainer or nutritionist.[and this has worked in the past how??]
TLC ordered the six-episode series in July.
Honestly, if it was strictly about documenting a family’s weight loss to promote healthy living, then I would be supportive of this show, but it appears to be more exploitative as oppose to being constructive & supportive. In partnership with the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) and E! Entertainment, Diddy and CIROC will distribute thousands of debit cards, valued up to $15, in high-traffic New York City locations for use in one of the city’s 13,000-plus taxicabs on New Year’s Eve, so adult revelers can get home safely. CIROC and E! Entertainment are further supporting the initiative with a message from Combs currently running on taxicab televisions in New York City through January 1, 2009 2010.
“As the ‘Official Vodka of New Year’s Eve,’ we have a responsibility to remind everyone to get home safely on this most celebratory of nights,” said Combs, who entered into a strategic marketing alliance with the spirit brand more than one year ago. “New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve city, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely.”

JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT| Vivica Fox was on The Monique Show last night, and when asked about 50 cent and their relationship, and how they came together for his video, Vivica broke down and got very emotional, and to my surprise, revealed how much she really was in love with CURTIS, as he will always be known to her. She said he allowed others to influence him in regards to their relationship and acted immature about it, and the break up was ugly and hurtful. Teddy Riley releases his statement to TMZ, Teddy flat-out denies the allegations — and insists the entire situation arose because his parenting techniques allowed his kids to have “an inflated sense of entitlement and expectation.”
Here’s the statement in its entirety:
Due to recent events, I am compelled to respond in detail to accusations made against me, by my daughters.
I love my Daughters, but I will not allow my children to disrespect me in my home. Contrary to what I have been accused of, I would never beat my children.
Perhaps, I should have been a stronger disciplinarian as they were growing up. I worked very hard so that my children would want for nothing.
In hindsight, I see that it was a mistake to give them everything they wanted so that they could have the childhood I never had. Unfortunately, Wait, there’s more…
We all were stunned and disturbed by the reports that surfaced on TMZ yesterday about music producer, New Jack Swing Creator, Guy, etc…. Teddy Riley beating up his daughters, and the restraining order that his 18 yr old, Taja Riley was granted against her father. I confirmed with my sources….YES… the reports are TRUE!!
